Ready-to-go Governance
Will we get value before our renewal date?
Rencore ships with 602 policies, 228 reports, 290 segments, and 104 automations pre-built across 38 connectors, recommended ones activate on first scan. No multi-month governance design project to start getting value.
Ready-to-go Governance is Rencore's pre-built content library, 602 policies, 228 reports, 290 segments, 104 automations, and 29 access reviews tuned per connector. Recommended templates activate on the first scan, so day one looks like day ninety at competitors who ship a blank engine and expect customers to build governance themselves.
Why it matters
-
Day-one violations
The first scan surfaces real findings, anonymous sharing links, inactive mailboxes, stale teams, API keys not rotated in 90 days, Claude workspaces over budget. No "configure your first policy" wizard.
-
Tuned per connector
Each connector ships with policies, reports, and segments specific to what governance looks like for that service. SharePoint gets 32 site-and-permission-aware policies. Claude gets 20 covering API keys, PII uploads, and cost controls. Different connectors, different rules, pre-built.
-
Recommended by default
Every artifact has an is_recommended flag. The recommended set activates automatically, about half the library, covering the violations that matter to most organizations on day one. Activate the rest as you go.
-
Severity surfaces what matters
Every policy has High / Medium / Low severity. Dashboards lead with High, so the security team focuses on serious findings before chasing low-priority sprawl. Custom severity overrides let you reflect your own risk model.
-
Templates remove the design burden
Dashboard templates, automation templates, and report templates cover the common scenarios, license cost tracking, Copilot rollout, oversharing surveillance, external access audit. Customize after starting, not before.

The blank-engine problem
Most governance platforms ship as a workflow engine plus an empty database. They are technically capable of doing what you want, once you spend six months designing your policies, building your reports, and writing your automation logic. The platform’s value ramp matches the implementation timeline, which usually exceeds the patience of the budget owner who approved it.
Rencore takes the opposite approach. The content library is the product. The engine just runs it.
What “ready-to-go” means concretely
When you connect a new tenant, Rencore inventories everything within the first scan cycle and immediately evaluates it against the pre-built policies for each connected service. By the time you finish reading the welcome email, the platform has produced its first batch of findings.
The recommended subset of templates is opinionated. We turn on what we believe most organizations should be monitoring, anonymous sharing in SharePoint, inactive mailboxes in Exchange, guest access in Teams, stale workspaces in Claude, unrotated API keys, sprawl across n8n. You can disable any of them; you can also flip on the optional ones. But the default starting point is governance, not “configure your first rule.”
