Dashboard Templates are Rencore's curated starting points for governance visualization. Each template combines tiles drawn from policies, reports, and segments into a coherent view of one governance scenario, Copilot adoption, license costs, oversharing surveillance, external access audit. Start from a template, customize tiles, share with stakeholders who do not need a Rencore license.

What gets shipped

The template library covers the scenarios most customers build dashboards for: license cost tracking, oversharing risk, Copilot rollout, external access audit, AI tool adoption, MSP cross-tenant health, and connector-specific operational views (SharePoint storage, Teams sprawl, Claude cost ceilings, n8n workflow health).

Each template is a composition of tiles, every tile is a chart, counter, list, or grid backed by a policy or report. The template defines the layout and tile selection; tiles are live.

How customization works

Activate a template, and a copy lands in your workspace. Edit it like any custom dashboard, drag tiles around, swap data sources, change chart types, add commentary. Save the customization as a new template if other teams should re-use it.

The same engine runs both pre-built and custom dashboards. Templates are not a separate UI; they are dashboards we shipped with the product. You can build everything templates do from scratch, they exist so you do not have to.
