Continuous Visibility
Will we actually see what is happening, in real time?
Real-time scanning and discovery across every connected service. Delta-based detection finds changes in minutes; adaptive throttling stays under API limits; multi-tenant aggregation works at MSP and M&A scale.
Continuous Visibility is Rencore's real-time scanning layer. Progressive delta scans detect new resources, permission changes, and configuration drift within minutes, not on a daily rescan cycle. Adaptive throttle management stays within API limits at enterprise scale. Multi-tenant support lets MSPs and large enterprises govern hundreds of tenants from one platform.
Why it matters
-
Delta scanning, not full rescans
Each scan cycle pulls only what changed since the previous run. Detection latency drops from hours to minutes, scan load drops proportionally, and the platform scales to enterprise tenants without grinding API quotas.
-
Adaptive throttle management
Microsoft Graph and connector APIs have hard rate limits. The scanner adapts to the available quota dynamically, maximizes throughput when the API allows, backs off without crashing when it does not.
-
Multi-tenant aggregation
For organizations with multiple Microsoft 365 tenants (M&A, regional separation, dev/prod) and for MSPs governing many customers, a single Rencore instance covers every tenant with one consolidated view.
-
Virtual environments for sub-tenants
Scope governance below the tenant level. Useful when one M365 tenant hosts multiple business units that need separate governance scopes without provisioning separate tenants.

Continuous Delta Scanning
Progressive delta scanning detects new resources, permission changes, and configuration drift incrementally. Detection latency drops from hours to minutes; API load drops proportionally.

Inventory Discovery
270 inventory types across 38 connectors. Every governable object is discovered and cataloged automatically, including orphaned, forgotten, and shadow resources that other tools miss.

Multi-Tenant & Virtual Environments
Govern multiple tenants from one Rencore instance. Virtual environments scope governance below the tenant level (up to 200 per tenant), for MSPs, M&A, and large enterprises.

The visibility problem
Governance value depends on freshness. A policy that catches oversharing after the violation has been live for a week is worth less than the same policy catching it within an hour. Detection latency directly determines whether remediation can happen before damage occurs.
Most governance platforms scan tenants on a daily rescan cycle. That works for small tenants. It does not work at enterprise scale: a daily rescan of a 100,000-object tenant either consumes a quarter of the API quota for the day, or takes longer than a day to complete. Either way, detection lags reality by hours or days.
What delta scanning changes
Rencore scans incrementally. Each cycle pulls only what changed in the relevant inventory since the previous cycle, new sites, permission updates, configuration drift, new resources in other connected services. Most cycles complete in minutes, not hours. Detection happens close enough to real-time that remediation workflows can run before users notice the violation.
Scaling beyond one tenant
Continuous Visibility extends across tenants through multi-tenant support and across sub-tenant scopes through virtual environments. The same platform governs an MSP with 50 customers, an enterprise with 10 regional tenants, or a single tenant divided into 100 logical scopes, without different infrastructure for each.
