AI Tool Connectors

Connectors for 15+ AI vendors, one governance pane for the whole AI vendor zoo. Cost tracking, access control, lifecycle, and data protection across every tool the organization uses.

AI Tool Connectors are Rencore's vendor-specific integrations with AI platforms beyond Microsoft. Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Glean, LangDock, Haystack, Palantir, Vercel v0, and Mistral all have dedicated connectors. Each surfaces that platform's users, workspaces, API keys, costs, and usage as native inventory, with vendor-specific policies and automations.

What the connector surfaces

Each AI connector maps the vendor’s admin API into Rencore’s governance model. Users become identity records linked to Entra ID where possible. Workspaces become governed objects. API keys become rotation-tracked credentials. Costs become trackable per-user, per-workspace, per-department. Usage becomes adoption metrics.

The vendor-specific policies surface what matters for that vendor. Claude policies cover API key rotation, PII upload detection, workspace cost limits, and external user access. GitHub Copilot policies cover license utilization, dormant seats, and per-user activity. Cursor and Windsurf policies cover developer tool adoption and cost-per-team. Each connector ships ~15-30 policies tuned to its target.

Cross-vendor governance

The Rencore data model normalizes across vendors. A “high-cost user” policy can fire on Claude users, OpenAI users, or anyone whose total AI spend across vendors exceeds a threshold. Dashboards mix tiles from every AI connector into a single cross-vendor view. The governance team sees the AI portfolio, not 15 separate vendor consoles.

The connector roadmap

New AI tools appear constantly. Rencore’s connector framework is extensible, new connectors ship on a regular cadence, and customers can request priority connectors when adoption patterns shift. The aim is to never be more than one quarter behind the vendor landscape.

Frequently asked questions

What is Claude governance?
Claude governance covers monitoring and managing Anthropic's Claude AI platform within your organization, tracking costs per workspace and user, detecting inactive accounts, managing API key rotation, enforcing admin role limits, and identifying files containing PII or sensitive data. It ensures AI tool usage stays secure, compliant, and cost-efficient.
Does Rencore support governance for AI tools beyond Microsoft Copilot?
Yes. Rencore connects to Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, AWS Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, and other AI platforms. Each connector provides tailored policies for cost management, security, adoption tracking, and access control, giving IT a unified governance view across all AI tools the organization uses.
How does Rencore monitor Claude costs?
Rencore tracks Claude costs at the organization, workspace, and individual user level, with 7-day, 30-day, and monthly views. Policies alert you when a workspace exceeds EUR 1,000 per month, a user exceeds their cost limit, or a 7-day cost spike exceeds EUR 500. Reports break down costs by department, country, and model used.
